My husband and I escaped Christmas and went to India for a combination of work and holiday. We started in Delhi, went to Rai University to spend time with students and professors, further on to the former Portuguese colony Diu, followed by Udaipur and Pushkar where we spent Christmas Evening. Then we went back to Delhi.
There we spent 5 days with around 3000 participants, 2000 panels and 135 countries represented end of last year in New Delhi at Women Economic Forum. I believe this is the biggest event I ever visited. The G100 Network joined Women’s Economic Forum and for the first time we were so many of the Global chairs of G100 together at the same place. A lot of enthusiasm and energy came out of our meetings. A special thanks to the organizers Dr Harbeen Arora Rai and her husband Vinay Rai, as well as the very eminent staff persons Anisha Tiwari and Ritu Singh. Of course I also spent time with my India Green Party friends.
After Delhi we went up north to Rishikesh, back south to Jaipur and finishing with the fantastic Taj Mahal. For photos of our visit to India you better look at my Facebook profile.
